Bird of Paradise

Nanhee Hahn was born in South Korea and was educated there before coming to this country with an academic scholarship to pursue her graduate degree in psychology.

As a young girl, she was always fascinated by the colors and beauty of her native country. Her combination of a fresh and lively palette with unique Oriental inspiration can characterize her style in watercolor paintings. Flowers, trees and garden-scapes are her favorite subjects. She paints intensely during her trips to the Orient and Hawaiian Islands.

She has shown works at the Women's University Club in Seattle. She has also sold her art around the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii. Nan keeps painting because of her ability to communicate beautiful feelings through her medium in the fast-changing technical world in which we live today.
