Jan Nickman is a two-time Emmy award winning filmmaker with a passion for capturing and presenting the life affirming beauty and sacredness of our natural world. Jan’s films create immersive experiences by combining what he calls the language of the gods, music and his artful cinematography. His latest works are “Echoes of Creation”, filmed in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, and “Sacred Earth” filmed in the American Southwest. Both films aired nationally on Public Television and are available as DVD’s and Blu-rays at sacredearthpictures.com He lives with his family on Whidbey Island near Seattle, Washington.
Jan is also an accomplished still photographer. Available exclusively at the Gratitude Gallery are some of the photographs he captured during filming of his two most recent projects. They include signed, limited editions of the cover art photographs for both films.
